Arden's First Christmas

As is our tradition, we flew home to AZ for Christmas. We were with the Lamb's during the week of Christmas, then Mitch flew home for work while Arden and Nicole headed to Thatcher for some Christmas cheer with the Palmer's. Both legs of the trip were fantastic and Arden was severely spoiled despite her parents copping out and only getting her one toy.

It all started with a trip to Santa and a snowflake face painting for Arden. She freaked on Santa, but we tried 3 or 4 times and finally got a picture that wasn't completely filled with terror. Unfortunately, the photo was left in AZ . . . stay tuned for that later. But here are the snowflake face pics:

Next up was the long awaited tradition of the Christmas dress. During Nicole's childhood, this tradition started as an excuse to buy a new dress. But now its a full fledged tradition carried on from Grandma Palmer, to Jenni and Nicole, to Halle and Aubrey (nieces) and now finally . . . to our little chubba bubba.

Look mom! I'm a can-can dancer!

On Christmas Eve, Arden and cousin London opened matching Santa jammies. Other than the 20 lbs of rolls on Arden, they were twinners.
Awwhhhh! BFF's already!

On Christmas morning, Arden woke up to find Santa had come even though she ate his cookies the night before. She got a ball popper, which was hilarious bc she looked like a tennis fan watching the balls go in and out. She also got a cabbage patch from Gr. and Gr. Lamb, a teddy bear from Gr. and Gr. Palmer, some books, a blankie, and some bath stuff from London. I guess she was on the nice list.
Let's face it though, no matter what you get, its really all about the wrapping.
