A trip with old friends

We spent Memorial Day hiking up to Stewart Falls (near Sundance) with our long-time friends the Platt's. They live in New Mexico now, so we haven't seen them in about a year. It was so great to get caught up on their latest, and to see their adorable 2 year old Harvey.
Although Mitch called it a man-ziere when he first put it on, we truly love our Baby Bjorn carrier thingy. Arden wouldn't have made the trip without it.
"Mom, look how outdoorsy I am, my hair's not done and my shoes are off! Just call me the next Survivor."
Harvey and Arden eating their lunch on the trail. Harvey is hilarious: he kept picking up bugs and worms and saying, "oh my gosh! oh my gosh! they're so squishy!"As much as I love being one with nature, there were like 600 people on the trail with us. Come on! And of course in Utah that doesn't just mean people, that means parents dragging their screaming, dirt-covered kids down steep, rocky trails so they can tell them, "yes, we're almost there" a thousand times. An experience, nonetheless.
