We visited our families in Arizona a few weeks ago (yahoo!) and it was one of my favorite trips to date. We got to see all our family on both sides and yet it wasn't a holiday or wedding or funeral or anything of that stressful nature. It was just hanging out and enjoying great company. Mitch drove us down and spent a few days with us at his parents, then he flew home for work and school and the girls and I went to Thatcher for a few more days. We had so much fun, we actually did not want to come home! I haven't had that feeling when traveling with my kids since . . . well, ever. I usually want to get home and get them back on a sane schedule, but this trip was so relaxing and fun for all of us. Just one get-together after another.
So as usual my pictures don't capture all the good times, but just some highlights.

This was a little visit to Grandpa Lamb's "farm". It was soooo hot, but the kids thought it was awesome to see Grandpa "the cowboy".

They loved the animals too, especially Suzy. She was all over it, literally.

Then, of course, the pool was a main attraction.

And this shot of Suzy was not really post-worthy, except how awesome it that hair?

And best of all - cousin love! London and Arden were inseparable.

It was sooo fun to watch them finally figure out how to play together. They were so giggly and got along so well. It's been a long time in the making too; remember this?

And of course, we got to spend plenty of time with this little stud; isn't he just dreamy? Arden loved baby Rett too, she kept smiling in his face and talking to him with "googoogaga's".

Part 2: Thatcher.
This part of the trip was spent with G'ma and G'pa Palmer and our cool Bryce cousins: Gavin, Halle, Carter, and Brindy. They are a rockin good time too - these pictures don't even do them justice.

One day, we visited "Gramma Poelmer" (as Arden would say) at school and Arden thought Teacher-Grandma was cooler than a slushy on a hot day. "Mrs. Palmer" even asked her class to play "Duck Duck Goose" with Arden because that is her favorite game. That pretty much made her list of top ten best days ever.

And thank goodness for my cool sister/bff Jenni - she makes every day a good day.

And after that, I think I just stopped taking pictures because we were too busy having American Idol finale parties, going to lunch and dinner with family and friends, having cousin/friend park party/playdates, swimming, hanging with mine and Mitch's parents and siblings, and just enjoying our cute offspring. We loved every minute thanks to those unforgettably awesome Arizona people (you know who you are). Two thumbs up and an Amy Pohler 'oooo-oooohh!' to all involved (that's for you Gee & Ash).
