Ups and downs

We had an unexpected trip to Arizona for my Uncle Greg's funeral, and while the reason we were there was really sad, it was wonderful to be together as a family. Mitch couldn't come because of work and the fact that we're going to AZ in less than 2 weeks for Thanksgiving - so he was greatly missed, especially on his birthday (Wednesday). All in all, it was an emotionally up and down trip - lots of sad, heartfelt moments and lots of funny, sweet, good memories. We are so thankful for family and love them all so much!

We took Arden to the Porter cousins for trick-or-treating. She was a lady bug and looked so stinkin' cute!

Jaycie and Tate were hilarious in their Mulan costumes - Heather is so good about stuff like that. How fun to get to see them!

Grandma Palmer (mom) and Arden trick-or-treating. Arden was way more into eating the candy than getting the candy. She would get one piece in her bag and want to stop and eat it before continuing on for more. I think Grandma could understand this more than anyone - chocolate is a genetic addiction in our family!

I just love cousin baths - they are prime opportunities for capturing photos that will eventually embarrass kids in their wedding videos. L to R: Halle, Arden, & Carter.

A bunch of the family in town for the funeral decided to go to dinner for my bday. It was so fun to be with all these people and be eating great food - what a combo! L to R: Mark, Jaelynn, Jenni, Mom, Aunt Michelle, Great Grandma Stokes, me, and Arden. Thanks so much for the fun party everyone!

Arden was intrigued by the flame/candle on the bday dessert. "OOooooo hottt! Cool mom!"

Another pic of my amazing family - they are seriously so fun to be with!
