Easter

We had a great Easter weekend! We spent Saturday in A.F. with the Rose's and the Searle's and we put together an Easter treasure hunt for the bigger kids. We sent them around town in Ali's car, while Scott and Mitch hid the clues (a step ahead of them). Arden and Rachel got to do their own little easter egg hunt in the yard and made out like bandits of course. Suzy Jane was unusually ornery last week with some tummy issues and what we think might be acid reflux, so she didn't get too into the festivities, but the rest of us hand a grand time.

Then, Sunday morning, Arden woke up to find the Easter bunny had spoiled her rotten. It was a fun morning, and the girls looked darling in their Easter dresses. Before we left for church, we all sat down and watched the Easter movie on KBYU - the one about the crucifixion. Arden even watched intently. To echo my sister-in-law Liz's thoughts about her primary class and Easter, it really was a good way to remember the reason for Easter - as I sat explaining to Arden in very simple terms. You could tell she didn't like what was happening on the screen, and wanted to know why. It reminded me to ask why? And for whom? I can never show enough gratitude for that sacrifice and I'm glad to be reminded of the Savior through a child's eyes.

These pictures are the perfect summation of Suzy's personality: the happiest kid in town . . . .
. . . And five seconds later: fightin' mad! She is sooo stinkin' funny. I get a kick out of her passionate personality.
My two beauties - girls are so fun!
