2013 In Retrospect: Summer

Here are some more fun Summer happenings, planned and spontaneous.

Girls Camp, Midway
Another wonderful year at Girls Camp! This year, the theme was "The Paper Bag Princess" and our ward stayed in a cabin in Midway. It was nice to have modern conveniences and beautiful scenery and hiking. The camp director did a fantastic job planning camp - it was a spiritually and emotionally uplifting week for all the girls! There was NO drama whatsoever which made for such a neat spirit and lots of fun times. Love our girls, they are going to be such great missionaries someday!

Our fun and clever Relief Society Presidency doing their skit, it was unforgettable, haha! Love these ladies!

I've decided the reason I'm still in Young Women's after all these years is because they want to help me finish growing up past the age of 15. It's going really well.

Our cool glow stick words/delayed flash pictures; they eventually made this work and you could see the words. I didn't get the picture though. wahh wahh wahhhhh.

Arizona Trip
We got to spend nearly a week with our Rigby cousins and Grandma & Grandpa Lamb! We always have the best time with them!
Movie night at Grandma's:

Art lessons with the Rigby's Aunt Annie, this was a highlight for these girls, they loved every second of it!
Aunt Lizzy's amazing stylist skills put to good use. Arden begged for a cute bob, so a bob she got. Love it cute girl!
Our last visit with cousin Zach before he headed off to his mission. We are sooooo proud of him and grateful for the wonderful example he sets for all the grandkids.
The girls had a blast swimming with cousin Zach, especially Ruby. She is relentless when she finds something she wants you to do for her. In this case, catch her.
Susan's swimming skills really took off this summer - she is our little fish!

Having a rockin good time at "Bryce Beach" as we affectionately call it. We got to be there for cousin Kase's birthday - love it when that happens  Thanks Aunt Jae for a fun night! Oh and look at that sunset! There's no place like home.

Cutie pie Brady Bro, love this guy.
Grandma and cousin Halle enjoying Aunt Jae's yummy cooking.
Mark and Jae - cutest couple award:)

the Birthday Boy - Kaser man!

We also got to attend a wonderful benefit for Aunt Mellani. The community where I'm from pulls together in such an amazing when one of their own is in need. It was amazing to see how generous and kind people are. It made me so proud of my heritage and the way I was raised.
Here's one of my darling Aunties - Char and Bee - love them so much!
June and Susan with cousins Kase and Bryndi
We are so lucky to have grown up around the block from many of our Palmer cousins - here are two of the greatest, Megan and her husband Jonnie (and baby Norah) with my little brother Mark.
Grandma and Grandpa have a neat tradition of taking the kids birthday shopping when they're in town or vice versa. This was June's pick, she is such a sweet little caretaker. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa, that's such a treasured tradition - the kids love it!

Girls Week at the Lake, Bear Lake, Idaho
It's become such a fun summer tradition to spend a week in Bear Lake, Idaho with some of our good friends from our last ward. They are so generous to share their fun cabin, beach, boat with all of us. We always have such a great time visiting, reading, playing tennis, eating, and just enjoying the sunny days and sandy beach.

Cute Bitsy Tullis and Mckenna Morris were rockstars for my girls. They adore them!

Arden ready to try her hand at tubing. She did really good and had a blast. She is definitely not my adventurous one, but she was a very good sport and I was so proud of her for getting out there (the water is freezing!)

Random Happenings

Me and Ruby being silly. She's the only one brave enough to hug me in my stinky running clothes;) Love my sweet Ruby.

They put on a pretty amazing talent show when they set their minds to it. haha. Sweet costumes.
Running the Hobble Creek half with my favorite ladies! This was such a fun and fast course. And the scenery - forget about it! If only they had a few more water stops it would have been the perfect day.

New haircuts from the amazing Stacie! Loved these bobs!

Such talented grandma's for these girls! Grandma Palmer made these darling dresses for all the girls for school. We love them, thank you so much!

Fun girls night with my new neighborhood girls - this is the beginning of a super fun tradition! Hilarious girls! Or should I say steltronic? like the bowling screen did when I bowled a spare? hahahah!
Susan and her best girls Lindsie and Ellie playing makeup. Its been so fun having lots of friends in the neighborhood.
Daddy, Susan, and Arden running a 5k to benefit a heart baby in our ward - this was so hard for the girls but they pushed through it like rockstars! I was very proud of them for sticking it out and having a great attitude. Good job guys!
